POST POST is a personal essay inspired by Joan Didion's Slouching Towards Bethlehem. It was written on an Underwood manual typewriter very late one night in the summer of 2010. It explores the current late-stage hipster culture, inevitable Myspace posturing, and the next-level post-postmodern culture that emerges when the internet looks more fun than outside, focusing on the genre crunkcore and band Brokencyde as an example.
